Way to go Box....

Awwww, guys...... Well, a little update.....Roubaix is nutz! Preroad, and watched as they closed off 2 descents, because basically nobody could ride them. I followed Katie Compton down the 2nd one, until she ate it at the bottom. Just picture the the run-up at Kelso day1, but steeper, throw rain in, and oh ya, put a 90 deg. right hand turn at the bottom, without a run-out (x2); AWESOME! The energy here is incredible, I road the course today for about 1.5hrs and every lap was with either Peter Dlask, Wellens, or a Rabobank rider. It`s been truely eye opening. I`ve caved and started a twitter account (just search erikbox), so you can follow the happens there, but I`ll try to put up a few updates on here as well. Take care everyone and just remember, if it looks steep, or technical on cycling.tv, then it`s probably unrideable by North American standards :) Erik

I just finished watching the

I just finished watching the race...frightening!

I'm not sure what looked harder, the descent you mentioned or those stairs.

Good luck next weekend and make the most of it!

Great to see you out there

Great to see you out there Erik.

Man, looked like a wicked race today - everyone looked cooked

Box is racing the WC in

Box is racing the WC in Hoogerheide tomorrow along with Mike Garrigan.  Good luck to both of them.  I'm sure most of us are jealous of their European exploits.

The live feed from Sporza.be

The live feed from Sporza.be was pretty grainy but I'm pretty sure it was Mike Garrigan I saw during the final lap, mixing it up with Albert, Stybar, and Pauwels. I think it was the better part of 60s of airtime? Should be able to watch it on crosstube.net when the last lap video is posted.

I was watching on CyclingTV

I was watching on CyclingTV and it was certainly Garrigan - he timed his TV exposure perfectly. He got lots and lots of air time - not to mention that ALMOST didn't get lapped. Pretty impressive ride.

I had a hard time picking out Erik as I think he has a new kit?

Garrigan has a nack for

Garrigan has a nack for getting some TV time.  I have seen him multiple times this year on Cycling.tv.  When he gets lapped, he gets out of the way, but manages to hang on to the leader(s) for a few more tv shots.

I was able to pick Box out a couple of times near the start of the race.  He was wearing a black and white 'Devinci' kit.  It was hard to see him as there are a number of black and white kits in the CX peloton.

Erik ! My wife and I have

Erik ! My wife and I have watching for you and wishing you well in both of the races. Thanks to Cyclingfans.com it's almost like being there! The courses look incredibly hard. It is great to know that we have you and Mike as Canadians representing us. BTW....what KIT is Mike wearing? Eric S.
