Back again...this time it's new.

I'm back in Belgium to race World Masters, but this time it's an afterthought. The main purpose of this year's trip is to support my son. Kiernan qualified to go to Worlds this year with his cousin Conor O'Brien and two other Canadian juniors.
I think this is fantastic for Canada and the sport. Four of the top five juniors, based on their finish at nationals, are coming to race worlds. So in addition to Kiernan, there will be Conor O'Brien from Ottawa, Kris Dahl and MacKenzie Carson, both from Alberta.
Kiernan and I arrived in Belgium on Friday and dove in head first, racing Saturday in Langemark and Sunday in Kasterlee. It wasn't easy getting off the plane and racing the next day, but I'm glad we did it.
Today (Monday) will be a rest day. We're going to try to hook up with Erik and/or Marc and Vicki as they are staying very close to where we are. I've also been in touch with Mike Garrigan who's staying in Brussels to try to hook up for a ride this week.
We are also going to try to update our club site www.ridewithrendall.com frequently, so stay tuned if you're interested.
Most importantly, I would like to thank Rod Oliver for being such a huge supporter of cyclocross and the efforts of all Canadians who make the effort to come here and race. It guys like Rod, who support and ask for nothing in return that deserve honourable mention.
