Hey everyone, I'm very new to CX racing and was wondering if there's a good beginner race in the near future for people just starting out. I'm already planning on doing the Paris to Ancaster and the Hell of the North, but I consider them more cross country races as opposed to real Cyclo-Cross. Could you let me know? Thanks. Mark.

Cross season doesn't start

Cross season doesn't start until mid-September.

A good start to the Spring

A good start to the Spring races is the Tour of Pelham, details on the Lake to Lake web site.: http://www.laketolake.ca/ John Roden put up a great summary of the Spring races in the Southern Ontario / WNY area. http://www.johnroden.net/spring.htm I haven't heard if the Hell of the North is on this year and nothing has been updated on the web site. http://labicisquadra.com/hellofthenorth.html

Yeah, true CX racing doesn't

Yeah, true CX racing doesn't start until September, as most of the Spring races are point-to-point.

Midweek's Centennial Cross practice also begins in September - usually first Tuesday after Labour Day - it's a fantastic way to practice, as there are lots of experienced and friendly riders who will teach, and and informal race at the end of each session.
